Your Film Festival
YouTube have teamed up with Ridley and Tony Scott, Scott Free London, Emirates and the Venice Film Festival to launch the most exciting competition to ever hit the film world – Your Film Festival.
Your Film Festival gives all filmmakers around the world the chance to win $500,000, a chance to work with Ridley Scott and the industries finest producers on their next project, not to mention a trip to the Venice Film Festival itself, where the finalists films will be screened.
Filmmakers can enter the competition, which starts on the 2nd February 2012 by submitting story-driven, 15 minute film. The film can be any genre, but in order to be accepted the film must have never been publicly screened or distributed before 1st January 2010, and has to be submitted before 31st March 2012.
Scott Free London will choose 50 semi-finalists for the competition, which will then be put up on YouTube for the online world to vote on. The top 10 films will then get a screening at the Venice Film Festival where Ridley Scott will pick the lucky winner.
