Google TV has been the centre of updates lately and their jump to Android 3.2 is putting them on the fast track to a nice Ice Cream Sandwich (a.k.a Android 4).
Google TV’s updates have given it hardware acceleration support to make the quality of applications with animation effects better, it’s updated HTTP Live Streaming service has vastly improved its support of HTML5 video, improvements have been made in the way Google TV identifies Channels to make the app EPG process easier for developers, and Google Chrome got a slight pampering too.
These updates are going to greatly boost the performance of Google TV, but when will it get to that all important Ice Cream Sandwich stage? That seems to be the question on everyone’s lips, but as it stands there is no word on this only speculation for the end of 2012.
