About the role

We're looking for a talented and creative Motion Graphics Designer, with the skills and ability to lead in the development of animation projects, from storyboarding and asset design to the final animation.

You'll be working in our colourful main office at the University of Nottingham's Innovation Park. You'll join team Venture, which is small enough that we all know each other's favorite songs but big enough to allow you to cultivate your own unique skill set.

On a day-to-day basis you'll be working as part of the post-production team alongside a broader team as we work with key clients, from universities to FTSE 100 companies to startups, help turn their ideas into beautifully appealing animation.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Comfortable with leading on the development of 2D and 3D animation projects 
• Interpret creative briefs and contribute to the creative development process
• The creation of styleframes, mood boards and storyboards to a high standard
• Comfortable leading creative for 2D character design, asset creation and animation
• Deliver on multiple projects concurrently
• Engaging with regular critiques of work with Senior Motion Graphics Designers
• Supporting Senior Motion Graphics Designers and helping Junior Motion Graphics Designers to develop their craft

What you'll bring to the table

Necessary Skills

• Knowledge to a high standard of Adobe After Effects including using 3D layers and cameras effectively and motion tracking
• Excellent illustration capabilities
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, to aid in the creation of assets
• Excellent understanding of design and typography and excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
• The ability to create storyboards, moodboards and styleframes to a high standard
• Able to work quickly and to a high standard whilst dealing with deadlines
• Have a good working knowledge of the 3D software package Cinema 4D
• Strong knowledge and experience of using After Effects plugins such as the full Trapcode suite
• Excellent knowledge of manipulating audio clips and sound design.
• Conceptual capabilities.
• The ability to critically look at own work and take constructive feedback on board comfortably

What we're offering

Salary

• Dependant on experience
• Quarterly and annual performance related bonuses 
• A personal training budget of £500 per year that will compliment your personal development plan

Hours

• Full time - 37 hours a week (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm)
• 1 hour lunch
• You may be expected to work beyond normal hours to meet deadlines
